Ryen McGee - Owner/Artistic Director
Ryen is a native of Palm Beach County, Florida. Specializing in Ballet instruction, Ryen began her career at the age of 4 at the Palm Beach Ballet Center under the direction of Joan Miller. While training in the different genres of dance and traveling to NYC every summer for classes, workshops and intensives Ryen continued on to Alexander Dreyfoos School of the Arts, The Joffery Ballet School, and commenced her formal education at the North Carolina School of the Arts, in contemporary dance. There she studied with the likes of Brenda Daniels, Diane Markham, Sean Sullivan and the world renowned teacher and dancer Melissa Hayden one of George Balancine's first ballerina's. Among her many accomplishments, Ryen was featured in Dance Magazine for her performance at the Alvin Ailey Theatre in NYC. Ryen has taught and dedicated herself to ACADC over the last four years and has since taken ownership. She is thrilled to continue on with the vision that was created before her at A Class Act Dance Center, and is looking forward to many more years of growth and accomplishment!
Jamie Kennedy - Professional Instructor-
Jamie comes to Pooler with professional teaching experience from NJ Power house Dance Studio Robin Horneff’s- Featured in Dancer and Dance Teacher Magazine 07’, Jamie studied Dance and Early Childhood Education at Towson University. With 25 years of dance experience Jamie has studied under the instruction of Rockette Barbara Creighton, and Kelly Larkin of The Larken Dance Family, Taken Class from renowned choreographers; Mandy Moore, Mia Michaels and Tyce Diorio all from So You Think You can Dance just to name a few! Living so close to New York City she regularly took classes at Broadway Dance Center and Steps. She danced in the pilot episode for Larry King Live “Star-Search-Show” and has many regional and national competition awards. Jamie is excited to share her talent of teaching and love of dance with her students and studio. Jamie has been serving the board of directors of the Chamber of Commerce in the City of Pooler, Ga for the past 3 years!
Jennifer Prough - Professional Instructor
Originally from Savannah, Ga Jennifer joins us as one of our Tap, Jazz, Ballet and Pre-school instructors. Miss Jennifer's patient, attentive nature for our youngest students is a treasure to have on staff at ACADC! Jennifer has been dancing in the Savannah area since the age of 4. She has studied ballet, tap, jazz, and modern under the instruction of Sharon Walsh-Clark with The Savannah Dance Centre. Throughout the years dedicated to her study of dance, Jennifer was classically trained in ballet by Ann Inglis, former dancer under George Balanchine, San Francisco Ballet, and New York City Ballet. She has had the privilege to dance under the Jazz styles of Frank Hatchet, the tap and lyrical likings of Tommy Alexander, and the elegant ballet forms of Janice Barringer. Jennifer hopes to continue sharing her love and knowledge of dance for many years to come and is proud to be a part of A Class Act Dance Center staff.
